Why?

Maybe it's my Double-Major in Poli Sci and Bio, and Minor in Management side, but I wanted to create a place where people can easily find info they're looking for about H1N1.

Why?

Because I didn't quite agree with the way info. was being presented and given to students--especially student leaders on campus. I felt like there should be a meeting place of all the H1N1 facts.

The H1N1 (swine flu) vaccine is out this month, October. I didn't like that part of the training for housing student leaders in telling us to prepare for H1N1 and yet no real information was actually presented to us. Students were essentially told that the vaccine was basically good and that they should get it since it's free and they need to protect themselves ASAP from swine flu and that it would be distributed in October. Statistics were given, but they were watered-down so that it's hard to get a sense of what numbers really mean without the how and why behind them!

THUS, my goal was to make some sort of place where I could compile all the relevant info. you could possibly want in order to be well-rounded with H1N1 knowledge and make the best decision for yourself--not a rash decision for your health just because someone said that you should! :)
